After the torrential rains in Delhi on Friday, not just one person but so many relationships died in the IGI Airport accident. It was as if the life of the whole family changed in one go. When they came to know that Ramesh Kumar had died in this accident, because he was someone’s father and someone’s husband. He was flying with courage with the desire to fulfill so many dreams in his eyes, only then he could earn two meals a day for the family. But the first rain of the monsoon, which usually brings happiness, wreaked havoc on Ramesh Kumar’s family.

The happiness of the cab driver’s family was ruined

Daughter’s marriage, son’s future and younger daughter’s big dreams along with car installments, these are the responsibilities that were on Ramesh Kumar’s shoulders. Perhaps he had reached IGI Airport with the hope of fulfilling these. He was waiting for a passenger after the flight landed. Because Ramesh’s family’s happiness was linked to the earnings from this ride. Ramesh’s family consists of his two sons Ravindra Ashish and two daughters Roshni and Bhavana. The entire family is in shock due to the death of the father. It is as if their whole world has been destroyed. Ramesh’s elder son Ravindra Kumar said that he was sleeping on Friday morning after finishing his night shift duty when a phone call from the Indira Gandhi International Airport Police Station brought a turmoil in his life.

Family shattered by father’s death

Ravindra told PTI Bhasha, “I was sleeping when I received a phone call from the police station and I was asked to immediately come to Terminal-1 of Delhi Airport. I and my family members did not know anything. When I reached there, I came to know that a part of the terminal roof fell on my father’s car and he died.” He has demanded strict action against those responsible for this incident.

Father is no more, how will daughter get married

According to TOI, Ramesh Kumar, originally from Bundelkhand, lived with his family in a rented house in Rohini. Son Ravindra told that he had spoken to his father at 3 am. He had told that he was taking a passenger from Faridabad to the airport. He was about to return home after finishing his shift. The son told that father Ramesh Kumar used to drive a cab from 5 pm to morning shift for the last four years. Earlier he used to drive his own vehicle. Ravindra said that due to his sister’s marriage, he also started working in multiple shifts.

With tears in his eyes and a choked throat, Ravinder told that two months ago, he had bought a second-hand car. He is currently paying its installments. He does not know how he will be able to repay the money in the absence of his father. Ravindra also told that his younger sister Bhavna was very close to his father. He did not tell her anything about the incident immediately. Bhavna has recently passed 11th. The father wanted his daughter to prepare for the competition. But this incident not only changed his life but also broke his family.
