Uttarakhand: Absence of state in-charge amid preparations for by-elections may cost Congress heavily

Congress is continuously claiming victory in the by-elections on Badrinath and Mangalore assembly seats. But till now Congress state in-charge Kumari Selja has once again not come to Uttarakhand. The absence of Congress state in-charge Kumari Selja amid the preparations for the by-election can create problems for the Congress.

Congress state in-charge absent amid preparations for by-election

Voting is to be held on July 10 for the by-election on Badrinath and Mangalore assembly seats. In such a situation, there is not much time left now. While the BJP is engaged in vigorous campaigning and the BJP in-charge is constantly holding meetings and giving directions to the organization. On the other hand, Congress state in-charge Kumari Selja has not come to Uttarakhand even once since the announcement of the by-election.

It is also not known when she will come in future. Even in the Lok Sabha elections, Kumari Selja has come to Uttarakhand only two to three times. However, in the by-election, Kumari Selja is giving directions to the organization through virtual medium. But Kumari Selja has not yet taken stock of the preparation on the ground. Due to which the difficulties of Congress can definitely increase in the by-elections being held on 2 seats of the state.

Karan Mahara said this on the absence of the state in-charge

Congress state president Karan Mahara says that the party is fighting the by-elections strongly on both the seats. All the senior leaders of the state are campaigning in support of the candidates on both the seats. Due to the Parliament session, state in-charge Shailja Kumari is busy. It is also necessary for her to be in the House. The state in-charge is continuously giving guidelines on virtual and telephone. On which work is being done in the by-election.

BJP is taking a dig at Congress

State Congress leaders are campaigning in support of the candidates on both the seats at their own level. Even in the Lok Sabha elections, the Congress high command did not pay special attention to Uttarakhand. Due to which Congress had to face defeat on all five seats of the state. Due to which BJP is also now taking a dig at Congress.

BJP state spokesperson Naveen Thakur says that Congress state in-charge Kumari Shailja knows very well that nothing is going to happen to Congress in Uttarakhand. Congress has been continuously saying since 2014 that it will win the elections. The people of Uttarakhand have rejected Congress in all the elections from 2014 to 2024. That is why whether it is the state in-charge of Congress or the top leadership, they do not want to take any blame on themselves by coming to Uttarakhand.
