Uttarakhand: Exercise to impose shadow control in USDMA started, testing was done in front of Secretary Disaster Management

Secretary Disaster Management and Rehabilitation Dr. Ranjit Kumar Sinha inspected the State Emergency Operation Center Control Room located in the new building of Uttarakhand State Disaster Management Authority located in IT Park on Saturday. During this, he also gave necessary guidelines to the officials.

Efforts to establish shadow control started

Let us tell you that as per the instructions of Secretary Disaster Management Dr. Ranjit Kumar Sinha, the exercise to establish shadow control of all the dam projects located in the state in the control room located at USDMA has started. On Saturday, under the direction of Executive Engineer Rajkumar of Dakpathar Barrage of UJVNL, testing of establishing shadow control was done in SEOC in the presence of Secretary Disaster Management Dr. Sinha. Rajkumar said that the testing was successful and as soon as the command was received from USDMA, the siren under the control of Dakpathar Barrage started ringing. He said that it will be installed in the control room soon.

What instructions did Dr. Sinha give?

During this, Secretary Disaster Management Dr. Sinha instructed all the dam projects to establish their shadow control in SEOC of USDMA within the stipulated time. Let us tell you that if for some reason the alarm siren does not ring from the control room under the control of dam projects, then it can be rung from the control room of USDMA.

Arrangements for the new building of USDMA were reviewed

During this time, Dr. Sinha took stock of the arrangements for the inauguration program of the new building of USDMA proposed by the Chief Minister. During this, Additional Chief Executive Officer Administration Anand Swaroop, Additional Chief Executive Officer Implementation Rajkumar Negi, Joint Chief Executive Officer Mohd. Obaidullah Ansari etc. were present.
