Uttarakhand: Horrible road accident in Devprayag, pickup fell into deep ditch, one dead and one injured

Accidents in the state are not decreasing. News of road accidents in hilly areas are constantly coming to the fore. A horrific road accident took place near Shivmurti on National Highway 58 in Devprayag early Saturday morning. Here a pickup vehicle went out of control and fell into a deep ditch. In this accident, a young man died on the spot. While one is seriously injured.

Horrific road accident in Devprayag

An accident took place near Shivmurti on National Highway 58 on Saturday morning. When the local people heard the sound of the vehicle falling into the ditch, they ran towards the spot. People informed the Devprayag police about this.

As soon as the information was received, rescue teams from Devprayag and nearby posts reached the spot and rescue work was started. Both the youths injured in the accident were taken out of the ditch and brought to the road. One of the injured died while being taken to the hospital. The other injured person has been admitted to a nearby hospital.

A young man died after a pickup fell into a ditch

In the accident, pickup driver Sumit son of Hem Singh (age about 29 years), resident of village Birsadi, Block Kot, Patti Kandwalsyu, District Pauri Garhwal died on the spot due to head injury. While his friend Dhirendra son of Sultan Singh (age about 36 years) from Sumit’s village was seriously injured. The deceased and the injured have been sent to CHC Bagi, Devprayag by the police in a government vehicle. The family members have been informed about the incident. The causes of the accident are being investigated.
