Heavy rain alert in Uttarakhand

Meteorologists have predicted light to moderate rain in most parts of Uttarakhand from today to the next few days. According to Vikram Singh, Director of Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain with thunder and lightning at some places in the state. There is an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rain in the capital Dehradun, Bageshwar, Nainital and Haridwar.

Possibility of landslides

According to meteorologists, there is a possibility of lightning along with thunder at some places in these districts. While there is a yellow alert for heavy rain in other districts. There is also a possibility of landslides in the mountainous areas. In such a situation, people traveling in the mountains have been appealed to be cautious.
