On the first day of Amarnath Yatra, 13,827 devotees took darshan of Baba Barfani, more than 4.50 lakh registrations so far
On Saturday, 13,827 devotees had darshan of Baba Barfana in Shri Amarnath cave. The entire atmosphere in Baba’s court was filled with Shiva slogans. Earlier, a group of Shiva devotees left for the holy cave from Baltal and Pahalgam route in the early morning. A group of 7500 devotees left from Baltal. Meanwhile, a second group of 4029 devotees left for Kashmir in 200 small and big vehicles from the base camp Bhagwati Nagar Jammu in the early morning on Saturday.
Bholenath’s Aarti in the holy cave complex
In the group that went from Jammu, 1265 men, 448 women, 19 children, 87 sadhus and 31 sadhvis went to Baltal. Similarly, 1670 men, 332 women, 2 children, 144 sadhus and 31 sadhvis went for the Pahalgam route. With the start of the yatra, live broadcasting of the Aarti from the holy cave will be started from July. On Saturday morning, Bholenath’s Aarti was performed in the holy cave complex.
Pilgrims came with health certificates
Baltal base camp director Harbans Sharma said that he appeals to the pilgrims to bring health certificates with them. Pilgrims should also follow all the rules set by the Amarnath Shrine Board. All preparations have been made to deal with emergency situations. MRT teams of NDRF, SDRF and other security agencies have been kept for such situations.
