Uttarakhand: Another PRD jawan burnt in forest fire dies in Delhi AIIMS, struggled with death for 18 days

PRD jawan Kundan Negi, who suffered severe burn injuries in the forest fire incident in Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary on June 13, died after 18 days. He was undergoing treatment at AIIMS, Delhi. The death toll in Binsar forest fire has now reached six.

PRD jawan Kundan Negi, 44 years old, resident of Khakhri, Bhaisiyachana block, died during treatment at Delhi AIIMS in the early hours of Sunday. He was struggling for life in the hospital for 18 days. A terrible fire broke out in the forests of Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary on June 13.

Eight employees of the forest department had gone to control the fire. But four forest workers Trilok Mehta, Karan Arya, Diwan Ram, Puran Singh died on the spot due to severe burn injuries. While a forest worker Krishna Kumar, 21 years old, resident of Bhetuli, died 10 days ago on June 20 during treatment at Delhi AIIMS. Two burnt forest workers Bhagwat Singh, age 38 years, resident of Betuli and Kailash Bhatt, age 54 years, resident of Ghaneli are being treated at Delhi AIIMS. According to doctors, the condition of the injured is said to be stable.

As soon as the news of the death of the PRD jawan reached the village, a wave of mourning spread. The body of the forest worker will reach his native village by night. After which the last rites will be performed on Monday. Divisional Forest Officer Civil Soyam Hem Chandra Gahtori confirmed the death of the forest worker and said that the condition of the injured is fine. All possible help is being provided to the victims.
