Uttarakhand: The body of a missing person was found on Kotdwar-Pauri highway, traffic was restored after removing the debris
On Saturday, debris fell from the hill on a Max vehicle on the Dugadda road on the Kotdwar-Pauri highway. Due to which the vehicle fell into the ditch. There were four people including the driver in the vehicle. The injured were rescued and taken to the hospital. However, one passenger went missing. The body of the missing person was recovered by the SDRF team on Sunday.
Vehicle fell into the ditch after getting hit by debris
The accident happened on Saturday. According to the information given by the police, due to rain in Kotdwar, a Max vehicle carrying passengers from Kotdwar to Pauri near the highway on the Dugadda road got hit by debris falling from the hill and fell down from the road into the ditch. Four people including the driver were riding in it.
Body of the person missing on the highway recovered
Yesterday, the police team rescued some injured persons and took them to the base hospital Kotdwar through 108. While the search operation continued due to the possibility of a person riding in the Max being buried under the debris. On Sunday, the body of the missing person was recovered by the SDRF and handed over to the police.
