The whole matter is such that Jyoti Sharma, wife of Sunil Sharma, who lives in Mehgaon of Bhind district, suddenly went missing from home on May 2. At first, Sunil searched for Jyoti on his own, but when there was no news anywhere, he lodged a complaint in Mehgaon police station.

Only two days had passed when on May 4, a woman’s burnt body was found lying in a field near Katarol village of Mau police station. People from Jyoti’s maternal and in-laws’ side reached the spot to identify the burnt body. Here Jyoti’s husband Sunil Sharma kept saying that the body was of some other woman, while people from her maternal side identified the body as Jyoti.

The family members of the girl had threatened to block the roads

On the basis of identification by the family members, the police accepted the body as Jyoti’s body and started further action. After conducting the post-mortem of the body, the family members pressurized the people of Jyoti’s in-laws’ side to take the body in their custody and perform the last rites. They also threatened to block the roads if they did not do so.

Immersed the body in Ganga, even arranged for Kanya Bhoj

Due to the pressure of the family members and the police, husband Sunil Sharma took the body of the woman in his custody and performed her last rites. Not only this, he also reached Ganga ji for immersion of the ashes and after immersing the ashes here, he returned to Mehgaon and also organized a Kanya Bhoj.

Sunil was beaten up by the police

The police took further action on the allegations of the family members and caught Sunil and beat him up badly, but Sunil was not ready to accept that the body was of Jyoti.

Then the husband came to know about the transaction

Sunil said that he did not kill his wife and neither was the dead body of his wife. Days passed and the pressure of the police kept increasing on Sunil and his family. Sunil was spending his days escaping the police, then suddenly one day Sunil reached the bank to withdraw money, then he came to know that a transaction of ₹ 2700 has been done from Jyoti’s bank account.

Laadli Behna’s money got him caught

The special thing is that the amount received under the ‘Laadli Behna Yojana’ in Madhya Pradesh was withdrawn by putting thumb impression at the kiosk center. On getting information, it was found that the money was withdrawn from a kiosk center in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, adjacent to Delhi. After this, this news also reached the police. Sunil reached Noida with the police, then suddenly Jyoti was also found getting her broken slippers repaired on the footpath.

The police brought Jyoti to Mehgaon. After presenting her in the court, Jyoti was handed over to her maternal family. Jyoti returned alive after 53 days, but now the police is faced with a big question that whose body was the one whose post-mortem and cremation was done thinking it to be Jyoti’s body?

15000 rupees are given every year

In Madhya Pradesh, the beneficiary women of the Ladli Behna Yojana were initially given Rs 1,000 every month. The then Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan increased this amount to Rs 1250 per month after six months. According to this, women are given financial assistance of Rs 15,000 annually.
