Uttarakhand: CM Dhami reviewed the Transport Department, instructed the officials to conduct surprise inspection of offices related to facilities

While reviewing the Transport Department in the Secretariat on Tuesday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami directed the officials to ensure that people do not face any problem in applying for license and getting slots. Common Service Center should be arranged around the RTO office. The Chief Minister directed the senior officers of the government to conduct surprise inspections of offices related to public facilities from time to time. He said that all the departments should provide a clear description of 10 important works done in the last three years and which 10 important works are to be completed by the departments by July 2026.

The Chief Minister directed that special attention should be paid to better and smooth citizen-centric services. The Chief Minister directed that more efforts should be made towards making online services practical, people should be constantly made aware about road safety, more attention should be paid to the process of challan through online medium and compliance of traffic rules should be ensured. He asked all the concerned departments to work in coordination for effective control of road accidents, and special attention should be paid to strengthening the fleet of buses of the Transport Corporation. Along with the arrangement of new buses in place of old buses, the Chief Minister said that adequate arrangements of CNG and electric buses should be made on plain routes.

It was informed in the meeting that 04 automated testing stations have been established in the state for the fitness of vehicles, while the process is in progress on 07. 13 interceptor vehicles and 30 bike squads have been deployed to promote road safety.
