Uttar Pradesh: In Hathras, crematorium became a religious place, 120 people died, hundreds were injured

120 people have died after a stampede in the satsang of Fullerai village in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh. Hundreds of people are reported to be injured. This satsang was organized by Bhole Baba alias Narayan Hari Organization. Seven children and more than 100 women are among the dead. After the tragic accident, the religious place Satsang has become a crematorium. There is a pile of dead bodies here now.
People fell and got buried in the muddy field
It is being told that the field on the side of the road was filled with water. While running in this muddy water, the devotees got stuck in it. And people died of suffocation due to the mud filling up their mouth and nose while being buried in the crowd.
Information has come to light that people started running together to take the dust of Bhole Baba’s feet in the satsang, then the volunteers tried to stop the crowd with sticks, due to which many women fell and the crowd went on passing over them. Due to this stampede, a large number of people fell on the muddy field near the NH and the crowd kept passing over them.
Many women fainted due to heat
It is being told that one lakh devotees were expected to attend the satsang. As soon as the satsang ended at 2 pm and the aarti was done, the crowd ran towards GT road to escape the heat and humidity. But the sevadars stopped the crowd on GT road. They said that the crowd will be allowed to move forward after Baba’s convoy of cars leaves. Baba’s convoy left in about 30 minutes after which the crowd got a chance to move forward. But in these 30 minutes, a large number of women fainted due to heat. It is being said that the crowd was so huge that it had become difficult to even walk on foot. Baba’s sevadars were constantly sprinkling water on the unconscious women but the sevadars were too exhausted to bring back to consciousness so many women.
There was no proper arrangement in the hospital as well. The patients who were being taken to the trauma center in Sikandrarao had neither electricity nor medical staff. There was not even oxygen. Many injured people died due to lack of treatment.
