Uttarakhand: Cloudburst in Rudraprayag causes devastation, fields and roads destroyed, villagers in panic

Heavy rains continue to wreak havoc in the state. An incident of cloudburst has been reported in Rudraprayag. A day earlier, an incident of cloudburst was reported in Nainital. Due to cloudburst in Rudraprayag’s Rumsi Devidar Tok, the road leading to the high school and some fields have been destroyed.

Cloudburst causes devastation in Rudraprayag

According to the information received, a cloudburst has occurred in Rudraprayag’s Rumsi Devidar Tok. Due to cloudburst, debris has come on the road leading to the school and some fields. Pradhan Rumsi of the border village Rumsi of Ukhimath development block has informed the disaster control room about the incident.

District Disaster Management Officer left for the incident site

As soon as the information about the incident was received, District Disaster Management Officer Nandan Singh Rajwar left for the incident site. Along with this, Chief Development Officer Dr. GS Khati, Chief Agriculture Officer Lokendra Singh Bisht, Block Development Officer Agastyamuni Praveen Bhatt and Revenue Sub Inspector have also left for the incident site.

No information of loss of life, property and animals

According to the information received, due to cloudburst, the road of Junior High School in Devdhar and agricultural land have been partially damaged. Apart from this, no information has been received yet about any kind of loss of life, property, loss of life and animals.
