Uttarakhand: Teenage girl murdered after rape, Congress submits memorandum to DM, warns of agitation
Congress leader of opposition Yashpal Arya met the District Magistrate and handed over a memorandum on the case of gang rape and murder of a Dalit girl in Haridwar. Leader of opposition Yashpal Arya said that it has been more than a week since the murder of a minor Dalit girl came to light on June 26. The names of BJP leaders Adityaraj Saini and Amit Saini have come up in this case. Despite this, the police have not been able to arrest them yet.
Alleged to hush up the matter
Arya said that it is clear from the developments that to save those BJP leaders, the police wants to hush up the matter by arresting other suspected accused. All this is being done by the police to save the main accused. Taking the matter seriously, the Congress has demanded the arrest of the accused soon.
Congress warned of agitation
Leader of opposition Yashpal Arya said that the accused should be arrested soon. Along with this, action should be taken to punish all the accused by conducting a speedy trial. Arya said that if the accused are not arrested within fifteen days, then Congress will be forced to launch a state-wide agitation.

The body of the teenager was found on the Bahdarbad highway of Haridwar. After which the family members of the teenager who reached the spot created a ruckus. The family members of the teenager had accused BJP leader and state executive member of OBC Morcha Adityaraj Saini of raping and murdering their 13-year-old daughter.

The woman had told in the complaint that Amit, a young man working at Adityaraj’s house, had lured her daughter and taken her with him on June 23. When she did not return home late at night, she spoke to Amit on the phone. Amit told that the teenager is with him and she should not call him right now.

On the morning of 24th June, the woman reached the house of Adityaraj Saini, a member of BJP’s OBC Morcha and the village head’s husband, to inform him about this. When the woman talked about giving a complaint to the police, Adityaraj asked her to settle the matter. Shortly after that, the girl’s body was found lying on the side of the highway in Bahadarabad police station area. After this, the girl’s mother gave a complaint to the police.
He used to rape her after trapping her in a love trap
In the complaint, the girl’s mother had told that Amit had trapped the girl in a love trap six months ago. It is alleged that Amit used to rape her by giving false promises of marriage. The woman had accused Amit Saini and Adityaraj Saini of rape and murder. After which the party had shown the BJP leader the way out.
