Uttarakhand: Former MLA’s controversial statement, said- Women’s clothing is responsible for the increasing cases of rape
Former BJP MLA Harbhajan Singh Cheema has given controversial statements in Kashipur. He has blamed the women’s attire for the increasing incidents of rape.
He issued a press release and said that the increasing hateful thinking towards women and girl students is against Indian culture. He said that somewhere the western culture of women is responsible for the increase in these incidents. Whereas women should wear clothes according to the culture and civilization of our country. Also, he held the parents responsible for this and said that they should make the women and girls of their family wear clothes according to Indian culture.
The former MLA appealed to the school management to bring changes in the dress of girl students according to Indian culture. Also, all sections of the society should come forward in this direction, only then this hateful act can be reduced.
