Along with presenting the budget in Lok Sabha, the Finance Minister is also going to make a record

The full budget for the financial year 2024-25 will be presented in the Lok Sabha on 23 July. Announcing the dates of the budget session, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju posted on X that the President of India Draupadi Murmu has approved the proposal to convene the budget session from 22 July 2024 to 12 August 2024 on the recommendation of the government. During this, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the country’s general budget for the 7th consecutive time in the Lok Sabha.
Nirmala Sitharaman will make a record
Let us tell you that with the presentation of the budget, the country’s Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is going to make a big record. She will become the first Finance Minister of the country to present the budget for the 7th consecutive time. Currently, she is at par with the record set by former Finance Minister Morarji Desai, who presented 6 consecutive budgets. Once she presents Budget 2024 in Parliament, she will surpass Morarji Desai’s record and become the first Finance Minister to present 7 consecutive budgets. Nirmala Sitharaman has been a cabinet minister in both the tenures of the Modi government in 2014 and 2019.
