Uttarakhand / Haldwani: Betrayal! Husband married wife hiding his HIV status, truth came out after child’s death; wife also got infected

A woman resident of Banbhulpura says that her husband was HIV infected before marriage. Despite that, marriage was done fraudulently. After marriage, when she was in labor, instead of taking her to the hospital, delivery was done at home. In such a situation, her health along with the child also deteriorated.

After getting tested in the hospital, it was found that the woman also has HIV. Along with forcing abortion, the woman has also alleged assault for dowry demand. At the same time, the police have registered a case and started investigation.

Started harassing for dowry demand

In the complaint submitted to the police, the victim said that in June 2020, she was married to a youth resident of Banbhulpura police station area. At that time, the relatives gave all the necessary items apart from jewelry, bike. But the husband, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, elder brother-in-law and sister-in-law started harassing for dowry demand.

At the same time, after a year, when there was labor pain, the mother-in-law said that we do not get the delivery done in the hospital but at home. After which the son was born. But due to her health deteriorating continuously, she died after three months. On the other hand, when the woman’s health deteriorated, tests conducted in the hospital revealed that she had been infected with HIV.

After this, when the disease was discussed in the in-laws’ house, it was found that the husband was already suffering from this disease. Despite that, this thing was hidden before marriage. It is alleged that when she became pregnant again in 2022, she was forcibly given pills and an abortion was done.

Even after this, the harassment regarding dowry did not stop. The woman alleges that on July 3, the in-laws tried to strangle her with a dupatta. Somehow she escaped and saved her life. At present, the police is investigating the matter on the basis of the FIR.

The victim’s brother somehow saved her

The complainant said that on the night of July 3, the in-laws were brutally beating her. Which was seen by a brother of the relative. After this, along with informing the girl’s family over the phone, with the help of the people of the locality, somehow she was freed from the clutches of the in-laws. Informed the police about the incident by calling on Dial 112.
