Saved the lives of soldiers by jumping into the bunker
Let us tell you that Captain Anshuman Singh was martyred in July 2023. He was posted as Regimental Medical Officer in the 403 Field Hospital of 26 Punjab Battalion in Siachen Glacier. On Wednesday morning, 19 July 2023, at around 3.30 am, a fire broke out in the ammunition bunker of the Indian Army due to a short circuit. This fire also engulfed many tents. Due to the fire, many of his comrades got trapped in the bunker. To save his comrades, Anshuman also jumped into the bunker. Without caring for his own life, Anshuman brought out three soldiers safely. He was airlifted to Chandigarh for treatment, where he could not be saved and he was martyred.

Captain Anshuman Singh was a resident of Deoria district of UP. His house was in Bardiha Dalpat of Lar police station area. However, Anshuman’s family currently lived in Lucknow. Recently, President Draupadi Murmu honored martyr Captain Anshuman Singh with the Kirti Chakra posthumously, which was received by his mother and wife.
