Haldwani-Dehradun highway damaged
On Sunday, there is a danger due to the collapse of the culvert in Haldwani-Dehradun highway near Chaklua in Kaladhungi area. Due to rain, part of the road has also been washed away in the strong flow of water. In such a situation, this bridge can collapse anytime. Due to the collapse of part of the culvert, traffic is being run from single side. On information, Kaladhungi police team is deployed on the spot.
Heavy rain alert in these districts
According to the forecast issued by the Meteorological Department, a red alert for heavy rain has been issued in some areas of Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Pauri, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Almora, Champawat, Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar districts today. Whereas there is an orange alert for heavy rain in some places in Dehradun, Haridwar, Tehri and Uttarkashi districts.
