PM Modi leaves for Russia visit, visiting after 5 years, will hold bilateral talks with President Putin

PM Modi has left for Russia today. He is visiting Russia after 5 years. He will be on a tour of Russia and Austria from Monday to July 10. PM Modi will be in Moscow on Monday to attend the 22nd India-Russia Annual Summit at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Modi will reach Moscow on Monday afternoon.

What will be the program?

PM Modi will interact with the Indian community settled in Russia on Tuesday. He will also pay floral tribute at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the Kremlin. After this, he will visit the Rosatom pavilion at the exhibition site in Moscow.

After this, there will be restricted level talks between Modi and Putin, followed by delegation level talks led by the Prime Minister and the Russian President. The issue of early release of Indians who were sent to Russia after being misled in the name of jobs in the Russian army is also expected to come up in the discussion.

PM Modi wrote on X, ‘Will be in Russia and Austria for the next three days. These visits will be a great opportunity to deepen ties with countries with which India has time-tested friendship. I am also looking forward to interacting with the Indian community living in these countries.’
