The Garhwal Commissioner had then appealed to all the Chardham pilgrims to stay at their respective places. Today, after the situation became a little normal, the ban imposed on the Chardham Yatra has been lifted. The Meteorological Department had also issued a red alert till July 7.

In view of the weather, the Garhwal Commissioner has asked to restart the Chardham Yatra. Along with this, he has appealed to the Chardham pilgrims to travel only after looking at the weather. He said that before starting the journey, get the correct information about the weather. Stay away from the river banks. Do not hurry in travelling.

A rain alert has been issued in Uttarakhand for Monday as well. Due to which precautionary measures have been taken in many districts. Due to rain, orders have been issued to keep schools and Anganwadi centres closed in many districts. Nainital, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar District Magistrates have issued orders for this.
