Uttarakhand: Heavy destruction due to rain in Champawat, five thousand population cut off from district headquarters due to collapse of hanging bridge

Due to heavy rains, the Kwarla river overflowed on Sunday and the hanging bridge of Belkhet was washed away in the strong current of the river. Due to the breaking of the hanging bridge, the contact of five thousand population with the district headquarters has been cut off.

Due to heavy rains, the rivers and streams are overflowing. The hanging bridge of Belkhet was washed away on Sunday in the overflow of the Kwarla river of Champawat. Landslides due to continuous rains
Due to continuous rains, landslides are occurring at many places in the district. The road connecting Bajaun village to the district headquarters also collapsed due to heavy rains. Along with this, three families of Devipura Pantar Farm of Banbasa are in danger due to rain. Due to waterlogging in the house, they have taken shelter in a room on the roof.
Power outage in many areas
While on one hand the general public is troubled due to waterlogging and landslides, on the other hand people are also facing problems due to power outage. Due to continuous heavy rains, there is no electricity in Champawat, Banbasa, Lohaghat and Tanakpur. People are living in darkness for about ten hours.
