Uttarakhand: Snowfall occurred on the high peaks of Pithoragarh, temperature decreased, people took out warm clothes

Heavy rain has become a disaster in the hilly areas of Uttarakhand. The most damage due to rain is being seen in the mountains. Due to rain, the temperature has dropped in many areas of the state and it has started getting cold. The high altitude areas of Pithoragarh also witnessed snowfall on Sunday.

Snowfall on the high peaks of Pithoragarh

Due to the continuous rain, the temperature has decreased and there has been snowfall on the high peaks of Pithoragarh. The cold has increased due to snowfall in the high altitude areas. People have also taken out their warm clothes. On one hand, this time in the month of June, it was hot in Pithoragarh and the temperature had reached 34 degrees. On the other hand, due to rain for a few days, the temperature has decreased by 12 degrees.

Slight chill from Munsiyari to Pithoragarh

Due to the decrease in temperature, there was snowfall on the high peaks of Pithoragarh including Panchachuli, Rajrambha, Hansling. Due to which a slight chill is being felt from Munsiyari to Pithoragarh in the month of July itself. People have to wear jackets and sweaters before stepping out of their homes.
