Rifleman Adarsh Negi, a resident of Uttarakhand, was martyred in the terrorist attack in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir. After this news, a wave of mourning has spread across Uttarakhand including the family of the martyr.
On Tuesday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed grief over the sacrifice of Adarsh Negi, calling the terrorist attack in Kathua cowardly.

CM Dhami posted on X and said- The news of the martyrdom of Adarsh Negi ji of district Tehri in the cowardly attack by terrorists in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir is very sad. This supreme sacrifice of Adarsh Negi ji, who attained martyrdom while protecting Mother India, will always be unforgettable. I pray to God to give a place to the virtuous soul in his feet and give strength to the bereaved family to bear this immense sorrow.
Let us tell you that 26-year-old Adarsh was a resident of Thati Dagar village of Kirtinagar block of Tehri district. His father Dalbir Singh Negi works as a farmer in the village itself. Adarsh studied till 12th from Government Inter College Piplidhar. In 2019, he joined Garhwal Rifles. At that time, he was in the second year of BSc from Garhwal University.
