Patanjali Ayurveda Limited stopped the sale of 14 products, recalled goods from stores across the country

Baba Ramdev’s company Patanjali Ayurveda Limited told the Supreme Court on Tuesday that the company has stopped the sale of 14 products whose licenses were canceled. Patanjali informed the Supreme Court that the 14 products whose licenses were canceled by the Uttarakhand State Licensing Authority in April 2024 are being withdrawn from stores across the country.
Instruction to withdraw all advertisements of 14 products
The company told the bench of Justice Hima Kohli and Justice Sandeep Mehta that it has directed 5,606 franchise stores to withdraw these products. Patanjali Ayurveda further said that media platforms have also been directed to withdraw all advertisements of these 14 products.
Ban imposed on these products
The products banned by Patanjali also include Ramdev’s traditional medicines for asthma, bronchitis and diabetes. The medicines of Divya Pharmacy which have been banned include Shwasari Gold, Broncom, Shwasari Pravahi, Shwasari Avaleha, Mukta Vati Extra Powers Lipidome, Livamrit Advance, Livogrit, BB Grit, Madhugrit, Madhunashini Vati Extra Power and Patanjali Drishti Eye Drops.
Next hearing July 30
The court has fixed the next hearing of the case on July 30. The apex court is hearing a petition filed by the Indian Medical Association, in which Patanjali has been accused of running a propaganda campaign against the Kovid vaccination campaign and modern medical systems.
