Preparations to build a ramp to the darshan point of Mount Kailash, Satpal Maharaj met the Union Minister

Cabinet Minister Satpal Maharaj met Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari on Wednesday. During this, he requested to build a ramp to the point of the motor road going to Old Lipulekh Pass from where Mount Kailash can be seen.

Preparation to build a ramp to the point of Kailash Parvat
Satpal Maharaj informed Union Minister Nitin Gadkari that the road about 200 meters before the point from where Mount Kailash can be seen on the motor road going to Lipulekh Pass is rough and difficult, due to which people have to face difficulties in reaching here. Therefore, a ramp should be built to go to that point of Old Lipulekh Pass from where Mount Kailash can be seen.

Request made for construction of toilets on the route
Satpal Maharaj told the Union Minister that the routes from Gunji to Om Parvat and Gunji to Adi Kailash located in Pithoragarh are very important for religious and adventure travellers. But at present there is a lack of toilets on these routes. Due to which tourists are not able to get cleanliness. The minister said that due to the unavailability of toilets, many types of health related problems occur. The cabinet minister requested the Union Minister to get the construction of public toilets done on the routes of Kailash movement.

Tourists face problems due to the absence of milestones on the route
Along with this, Cabinet Minister Satpal Maharaj informed Union Minister Nitin Gadkari that there are no milestones on the route, due to which tourists have to face many difficulties in getting directions. He told the Union Minister that due to the absence of milestones, people get confused on the way. Tourists are not able to know how much distance they have covered. Therefore, the officials should be directed to construct milestones on the routes of Kailash movement.
