Monsoon is wreaking havoc in Uttarakhand. On Tuesday, CM Dhami inspected the flood-affected areas of Kumaon division. Along with this, he inspected the International Stadium located in Haldwani and directed the Irrigation Department to start channelization, wire crate and protective work in 500 meters of Gaula river.
Irrigation department came into action after the instructions of CM Dhami
After the instructions of Chief Minister Dhami, the Irrigation Department has come into action mode. Sanjay Shukla, Chief Engineer of Irrigation Department, inspected with the team and directed to do rescue work as soon as possible. However, the water level of Gaula river is becoming a hindrance in the work of the Irrigation Department. Along with this, the Pokland machine is also not getting a way to go into the river.
Efforts started to save the land erosion near the stadium
The irrigation department is getting work done with a Pokland machine. Due to excess water in the Gaula river, the work of channelization is not being expedited. After which the irrigation department is now trying to remove the power line from UPCL and take the machine to the river. So that the work can be expedited and the soil erosion near the stadium can be stopped as soon as possible.
