Uttarakhand: With the onset of rains, paddy transplantation gained momentum, folk songs resonated in the fields

After continuous rain in Lohaghat area, villagers have started transplanting paddy from Wednesday in Sulla and other villages bordering Nepal. All the elderly, women, men, youth and children of Sulla village have started transplanting paddy. The women of the village are also engaged in transplanting paddy with traditional songs.

Sulla’s village head representative Trilok Singh said that this time the rain has been a little late. But after the rain that happened in the past few days, the villagers of the entire area have started transplanting paddy. He told that while the men of the village are preparing the fields for transplantation with the help of oxen, women are transplanting paddy.
Trilok Singh said that in Sulla, villagers do their traditional farming in large numbers without any government help. He said that a large number of migrants have reached the village to transplant paddy. All the women and men of the village are transplanting paddy while helping each other.
Sulla village is famous for organic paddy production
It is known that very few villages are left in the mountains now. Such rare scenes are rarely seen now. Where paddy is planted in the traditional way. Sulla area near the Nepal border is very famous for organic paddy production. The red paddy here is very famous in the entire state.
