Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam GM Vijaynath Shukla informed that this time so far 606 pilgrims have been sent for the Adi Kailash Yatra in 15 groups. The last group has returned safely after the journey. At present, due to heavy rains and monsoon season, the Adi Kailash Yatra has been stopped.

Registration is going on for the Adi Kailash Yatra

Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam GM Vijaynath Shukla says that the Adi Kailash Yatra will be started again after the rains. Currently, the possible date is 22 September, but the journey will be started according to the weather of the immediate time. However, registration is going on for the Adi Kailash Yatra.

How to reach Adi Kailash?

How to Reach Adi Kailash Adi Kailash is located in Pithoragarh, the border district of Uttarakhand. The nearest railway station for this place is Kathgodam Haldwani. While the nearest airport is Pantnagar Airport. Although there is an airport in Pithoragarh as well, but currently flights are not being operated from there.

After reaching Haldwani, you can now take a bus or taxi from here to Pithoragarh. You can also take a taxi or bus to Dharchula from Tanakpur railway station. Tapovan comes after a journey of five kilometers from Dharchula. After which, on moving forward, you find Malpa village on the way. Here you can see a beautiful waterfall.

You will reach Gunji village ahead of Malpa. But before reaching here, you will find Sita Bridge on the way. Here you can see Sita Bridge connecting the hills of India and Nepal. Which is made of wood and swings in the air. On moving a little further from here, you will reach Parvati Sarovar. Here you can see the famous Shiva Parvati temple.

There is a Kali temple near this lake. Sheshnag mountain and Vedvyas cave are situated near it. People visit Adi Kailash from here. Let us tell you that after reaching Dharchula, 90 km from Pithoragarh, the health of the travellers is tested. After which they are issued Inner Line Permit.
