Huge uproar over Mangalore by-election, Congress demands re-poll

The politics of the state has heated up since the violence in the Mangalore by-election. The round of allegations and counter-allegations between Congress and BJP is still going on. Meanwhile, Congress has demanded re-voting in Mangalore. Congress says that BJP has got fake votes cast in the election.
No hope of fair election in Mangalore
The Congress state president has posted on social media that he informed the SP about the attack by anti-social elements during the Mangalore by-election and one-sided action by the police. He said that the kind of attitude of the local administration during the entire by-election, fair elections cannot be expected at all.
Congress demanded re-voting
Karan Mahara has said that he has also demanded from the Election Commission that a high-level inquiry should be conducted into the misuse of government machinery in the Mangalore assembly by-election and the incident of assault and firing in Libbarheri. Along with taking strict action against the culprits, re-polling should be conducted in booth number 53 and 54 in view of fair and transparent elections.
Congress accuses BJP of casting fake votes
Congress is making many allegations against BJP regarding the violence that took place during voting in the by-election in Mangalore. Former CM Harish Rawat says that BJP wants to win the Mangalore assembly elections by going to any extent. He said that the Bharatiya Janata Party has cast fake votes in Mangalore.
