Bathing in rivers, ravines and pools has been banned in Bhimtal of Uttarakhand. If any person is caught bathing in ravines, ponds and rivers anywhere in Bhimtal, he will be fined heavily. Along with this, the person can even be arrested. Let us tell you that four people have died in three years while bathing in Kalsa, a tributary of Padampuri Gaula and the Parital built in it. Due to which this decision has been taken.

Ban imposed on bathing at these places

Dhami SDM has banned bathing in Gaula, Kalsa river and its tributaries, Bhalugad, Harishtal, Parital and Lohakham lake. Along with this, bathing has also been banned in all small rivers, ravines, ponds and pools located in the boundary of Pargana Dhari. Let us tell you that in view of the loss of life due to rapid flow in monsoon, movement has been banned in these places.

Can be arrested along with fine

Dhami SDM has instructed Engineer Irrigation Haldwani to install red sign boards in all the rivers, tributaries and ponds of the area. He said that if anyone is found bathing in the rivers, ponds and ravines of the restricted area, then action will be taken to arrest the person concerned under Section 40 of the Indian Security Code 2023.
