Uttarakhand: Traffic came to a halt due to debris on the road, the woman kept writhing in pain, after hours she was carried on the back and helped to cross the landslide zone

Due to heavy rains in the mountains, incidents of landslides are being reported continuously. So far 27 roads are closed due to debris in Pithoragarh. On Wednesday, traffic was disrupted due to debris near Musgaon on the Bungachina-Algada road. During this, a sick woman was being taken to the hospital. But due to the road being closed, the woman kept suffering from pain for hours.

Woman kept suffering for hours due to road closure
Debris fell near Musgaon on the Bungachina-Algada road under Dewalthal tehsil of Pithoragarh. Due to the debris, the road was closed and traffic came to a halt. Due to the road being closed, a sick woman could not be taken to the hospital. The woman kept suffering from pain for hours.

Crossed the landslide zone by carrying her on the back
When the condition of the woman worsened, the family members made the woman cross the landslide zone by carrying her on the back. The woman was taken to the hospital by calling another vehicle across the road. The debris could not be removed even till Thursday morning. Due to which the traffic remained stalled. When the administration did not send a machine to open the road, the local people themselves started removing the debris with shovels. After which the movement on the road became smooth.
