NATO’s entry in Asia, these four friends of America will trouble China and North Korea

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has now accelerated its expansion in Asia as well. Its sole goal is to stop China’s growing aggression in the Indo-Pacific. For this, NATO has selected four countries from Asia, which will protect its interests in the region. However, India’s name is not included in these four countries. Even though NATO has not given full member status to these four countries, relations with them are very strong. These four countries have also been given the nickname of NATO-4. Recently, in a program organized on the occasion of completion of 75 years of NATO, US President Joe Biden also got a photo taken with these four countries, which is being discussed a lot.

Who are those 4 helpers of NATO in Asia

The names of those four helping countries of NATO in Asia are Japan, Australia, South Korea and New Zealand. These four countries have been associated with NATO in some form or the other for decades. They also have close relations with America and are also very dependent on Washington for their security. Australia and New Zealand may not be part of Asia, but they are counted among the countries of the Indo-Pacific. These four countries also conduct several military exercises with the US every year. Apart from this, they also have close military relations with other NATO countries. The big thing is that these four countries have tensions with China on some issue or the other.

America wants to institutionalize IP-4

US Deputy Secretary of State Kurt Campbell has said that his country wants to “institutionalize” the group of NATO’s four Indo-Pacific partners – South Korea, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. His statement comes amid concerns over the growing military alliance between North Korea and Russia and China’s growing aggression. He stressed that Washington is “fully” committed to its deterrent guarantee to South Korea, while describing the security initiatives of the allies as “friendly” and “firm”. He said that I think in the coming days you will hear more about the Indo-Pacific 4 – the group that is with us in Washington.
