25 June will be celebrated as Constitution Murder Day; Central Government issued notification

The central government has declared 25 June as Constitution Hatya Diwas. The central government has also issued a notification in this regard. In this, the Center has said that Emergency was imposed in the country on 25 June 1975, so now the Government of India has decided to celebrate 25 June every year as ‘Samvidhan Hatya Diwas’. This day will commemorate the immense contribution of all those people who suffered the inhuman pain of the Emergency of 1975. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has also tweeted in this regard.

Amit Shah tweeted, ‘On 25 June 1975, the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi strangled the soul of Indian democracy by imposing Emergency in the country, showing her dictatorial mindset. Lakhs of people were put in jail without any reason and the voice of the media was suppressed. The Government of India has decided to celebrate 25 June every year as ‘Samvidhan Hatya Diwas’. This day will commemorate the immense contribution of all those who suffered the inhuman pain of the Emergency of 1975.’

He further wrote, ‘The purpose of this decision taken by the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is to honor the struggle of millions of people who struggled to revive democracy despite facing innumerable tortures and oppression of the dictatorial government. ‘Samvidhan Hatya Diwas’ will work to keep alive the immortal flame of protection of democracy and personal freedom inside every Indian, so that no dictatorial mentality like Congress can repeat it in future.’
