‘Elon Musk made a huge donation to a group supporting Donald Trump’, claims report
Presidential elections will be held in the US in November this year. In such a situation, the election campaign of political parties is gaining momentum. Concerns are growing within the Democratic Party about the health of President Joe Biden. On the other hand, veteran billionaire businessman Elon Musk has donated a huge amount to his political group ‘Great America PAC’ for the campaign of his rival Donald Trump. This claim has been made in a Bloomberg report.
Donors of the Republican Party will be disclosed
According to the report, although this group did not disclose the amount of donation, it described it as a ‘large amount’. ‘The Great America PAC’ will reveal the list of donors on July 15. This group also supported Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election. It was founded that year by Eric Beach, a political strategist and veteran of presidential election campaigns.
Donald Trump had a meeting with Musk in March
Trump is likely to be officially nominated as the Republican Party’s presidential candidate for the election to be held on November 5. Earlier in March, Trump had a meeting with Musk and other wealthy donors. After the news of the meeting, Musk wrote on X, I want to make it clear that I am not donating to any US presidential candidate. After this, in May, he also rejected the reports coming in the media, which were saying that Trump could give him the role of advisor to the President in future.
Tesla suffered due to closeness with Biden
Musk had openly associated himself with the Republican Party in recent years. This affected the reputation and sales of Tesla, as this company was the primary source of his wealth. Last month Trump said, I am a big fan of electric cars. I am a fan of Elon. Trump also said that Musk does an incredible job with Tesla.
