Uttarakhand: Bulldozer roared against encroachment in Rudrapur, 46 concrete houses demolished

Today, the administration’s bulldozer has run on 46 houses which were living on government land along NH 74 in Bhagwanpur of Rudrapur for years. During this, the encroachment was demolished with the help of seven JCBs and one Pokland. In view of security, heavy police force was deployed in the area.

Bhagwanpur was converted into a cantonment

Let us tell you that two days ago, the team which reached Bhagwanpur to remove encroachment along NH 74 road had to face opposition from the local people as well as the MLA of the area. After which today the administration reached Bhagwanpur with a heavy police force. The administration team has demolished 46 concrete houses from the spot. During this time Bhagwanpur was converted into a cantonment.

The High Court had given instructions to remove encroachment

In fact, on an order of the High Court, instructions were given to remove 46 families living illegally along NH 74 for years. On July 11, the administration, police team, NH team reached to remove the encroachment. After which the team had to return empty-handed amidst heavy opposition. Meanwhile, there was a heated argument between the police administration and the local people. After which today the administration team reached the spot with full preparations.

Earlier notice was issued to the affected people: SSP

Udham Singh Nagar SSP Manju Nath TC said that on the orders of the court, today the district administration removed encroachment from the side of Bhagwanpur NH 74. Earlier, people were given notice several times to vacate the place. SSP said that two days ago the local people had asked for a day’s time. After which the encroachment was removed today.
