Uttarakhand has stood the test of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This has been revealed by the SDG Ranking Index Report of NITI Aayog. The Commission released this report on Friday. Jumping from the fourth position, Uttarakhand has made a place at the top along with Kerala. Uttarakhand has improved a lot compared to last year in achieving almost every goal out of the 16 goals of sustainable development.

According to the report of NITI Aayog, Uttarakhand has secured the first position with 79 points, leaving behind states like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Gujarat, Himachal in the 16 goals of sustainable development. Kerala has retained its highest ranking through better performance. Among the states in the top five positions, Tamil Nadu is second with 78 points, Goa and Himachal are third with 77 points, Punjab and Sikkim are fourth with 76 points and Karnataka is fifth with 75 points.

Happy with this achievement of Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has congratulated all the people of the state for this. The Chief Minister said that this achievement was achieved with the blessings and cooperation of the god-like people of the state. Under the able leadership of the Prime Minister, due to the development-oriented efforts of our double engine government, today our state has moved forward towards becoming a leading state. Uttarakhand getting the top position in the report of Sustainable Development Goals 2023-2024 of NITI Aayog is a direct proof of this.

He also congratulated the cabinet colleagues, government and administration officials. He said that our government is continuously moving forward in the direction of “Developed Uttarakhand” with the coordination of ecology and economy. Our top priority is to establish a transparent system in the state and to bring about all-encompassing and holistic development.
