Uttarakhand: Rajendra Bhandari’s magic is broken, he lost his brand value, his political future is in danger!

Rajendra Bhandari has himself tarnished the brand value he had built in Uttarakhand politics. Rajendra Bhandari is considered one of the most powerful leaders of Chamoli district, but the way he lost the by-election is unexpected. Now questions have also been raised on Rajendra Bhandari’s political future.

Rajendra Bhandari rose from student politics to achieve a special position in assembly politics. Congress politics in Badrinath assembly constituency revolved around Rajendra Bhandari. There was a time when Congress meant Bhandari and Bhandari meant Congress. A glimpse of this was also seen in the 2022 elections, when the BJP won with a huge majority in the state, but Rajendra Bhandari not only won from Badrinath assembly but this was the only seat among the 14 assemblies of Garhwal Lok Sabha seat which BJP lost.

Then people voted in the name of Bhandari. But this time the same Rajendra Bhandari was defeated by the Congress and his spell was broken. Now what kind of politics will he do in future, what will be his strategy, this is a question of future. But it is certain that due to his changing the party, the brand value of Bhandari in Chamoli district has now fallen drastically.

Bigwigs were successful in saving their booths

Apart from the election results of Badrinath assembly, all the bigwigs have been successful in saving their booths. Rajendra Bhandari got 169 votes in his booth Nael Etha, while Congress got only 56 votes here. At the same time, BJP got 76 votes in BJP state president and Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt’s booth Brahmanthala, while Congress got only 36 votes. At the same time, Congress’s Lakhpat Butola also got a good lead at his booth in Chaundi village. He got 227 votes here, while BJP got only 101 votes here.

BJP lost at Mana booth too

BJP had to face defeat even in the country’s first village Mana. Here Congress got 184 votes, while BJP had to be satisfied with only 44 votes. The result of Mana is also special because Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave it the tag of the first village of the country instead of the last village. Mana was much discussed in the country and the world because of Modi’s name, but the BJP getting so few votes here is a clear message that the public has rejected defection.
