Actress Rakul Preet Singh’s brother arrested in drugs case in Hyderabad
Hyderabad Police has arrested actress Rakul Preet Singh’s brother Aman Preet Singh along with four others in the alleged drugs case. The Telangana Anti-Narcotics Department has seized 199 grams of cocaine worth Rs 35 lakh, ten cellphones and two passports from them. Cyberabad Police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty said that Aman is one of the customers who used to buy these drugs.
The police have named a total of thirteen drug consumers, including Aman Preet Singh, out of which six have been arrested.
The Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Rajendra Nagar and Narsingi police of Cyberabad Commissionerate have jointly arrested five drug dealers in Hyderabad.
One of the main accused among the drug suppliers has been identified as Onuoha Blessing from Nigeria, who is a hair stylist in Bengaluru and has cases registered against him earlier.
The Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau, Cyberabad police’s Special Operations Team (SOT) and Rajendranagar police arrested five drug peddlers, including two Nigerians, who were selling cocaine to high profile customers in the city.
Five out of the 13 consumers have been arrested and when their urine samples were tested, all the five persons tested positive for cocaine. The five arrested are Aniket, Prasad, Aman, Madhu and Nikhil.
Telangana Police said in a statement, “Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau urges the youth/students not to fall prey to drugs and parents to keep a watch on the activities of their children and contact the police without hesitation.”
Enforcement Directorate has also questioned Rakul Preet Singh
Enforcement Directorate had summoned Rakul Preet Singh last year in connection with drug trafficking and consumption case. In this regard, the investigating agency had also recorded the statement of the 33-year-old actress in 2022 and 2021.
