Maulvi Hussain Chishti acquitted in the case of giving hate speech against Nupur Sharma, came out of jail and said- ‘Finally…’

A Rajasthan court has acquitted Dargah Maulvi Syed Gauhar Hussain Chishti in a major decision in the 2022 ‘Sar Tan Se Juda’ slogan case. Along with this, five others have also been acquitted, who allegedly raised the slogan ‘Sar Tan Se Juda’ in a protest rally against former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma over her alleged statement on Prophet Mohammad.

Coming out of jail, Hussain Chishti gave a statement and said, “Justice has been done in my case.” It is worth noting that Gauhar Chishti, Khadim of Ajmer Sharif Dargah, thanked the government after being acquitted in connection with the hate speech given at the main gate of Ajmer Dargah on June 17, 2022.

Objectionable slogans were put up at the door of Ajmer Dargah

For information, let us tell you that in the year 2022, an inflammatory speech was given against former BJP leader Nupur Sharma expelled from the BJP. Slogans of ‘Sar Tan Se Juda’ were raised against Nupur Sharma at the door of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Dargah. In fact, in 2022, Nupur Sharma was accused of making derogatory remarks against the Prophet, due to which many people including angry Khadim Hussain Chishti gave provocative speeches.

‘Will raise voice against the court’s decision’ – Government lawyer

Government lawyer Ghulam Nazmi said that Ajmer Dargah’s Khadim Gauhar Chishti, Tajim Siddiqui, Farooq Jamali, Nasir, Riyaz Hasan and Moin have been acquitted by the court. All the accused have been acquitted in all sections. The advocate said that after examining this order, an appeal will be filed against the verdict. The case was held in the court of an Additional District Judge in Ajmer.

Hussain Chishti was arrested from Hyderabad in the year 2022

Hussain Chishti was accused of giving a hate speech in the presence of police on 17 June 2022, shortly before a rally of the Muslim community against the comments of Nupur Sharma. After the case was registered, the main accused Gauhar Hussain Chishti was arrested in July 2022.
