Six people including two Americans died under suspicious circumstances in a luxury hotel in Bangkok, suspected to have been poisoned; Police investigating

Six people were found dead in a luxury hotel room in Thailand’s capital city Bangkok on Tuesday. Police officials suspect that these people may have been poisoned. The New York Times has reported this.

Thailand’s Prime Minister Shretha Thavisin said that two of the dead are Americans of Vietnamese origin. While four are Vietnamese citizens. According to the news, Major General Thiradaj Thumsuthi, the chief investigator of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, said that three of the dead are men and three are women.

He said that in the initial investigation of the scene, it is believed that they were poisoned. Thiradaj said that there are indications that all six people had drunk coffee or tea. He said that no marks of injury were found in the initial postmortem. Apart from this, a guide is also being questioned.

Metropolitan Police Commissioner Lieutenant General Thiti Sengsawang told reporters that he did not find any signs of struggle. According to the news, the bodies of all those six people were found in the same room. Everyone had to check out on Tuesday and their bags were packed.
