Uttarakhand: Urban Development Directorate in action on the instructions of CM Dhami, identity cards will be issued to hawkers, they will have to be displayed compulsorily

Identity cards will soon be provided to hawkers. On the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Urban Development Directorate has issued a letter to all the Municipal Commissioners, Executive Officers of the state to collect the details of hawkers and handcart owners and issue identity cards and compulsorily display them on the handcart/phad.

Urban Development Director Nitin Singh Bhadauria has issued a letter to the Municipal Commissioners, Executive Officers of all the municipal bodies in this regard and has expected them to collect details of the urban hawkers working in their area to display their identity on their handcarts. The identity card should contain the code, name, address, photo of the hawker as well as the name of any family member, category (fixed or movable), in addition to the ferry area where the identity card owner has permission for fixed or movable ferry along with the details of the validity of the permission. It has been clearly directed in the letter that all the hawkers of the city will have to issue identity cards and they will have to compulsorily display them.
