Orange alert for heavy rain in Pithoragarh and Bageshwar districts of Uttarakhand, clouds will soak the entire state today
According to the Meteorological Department, it is expected to rain in all the districts of Uttarakhand today. There is a possibility of heavy rain in two hill districts, so the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for these districts. Along with this, a yellow alert has been issued warning of rain in the remaining districts.
Orange alert in these 2 districts
Scientists of the Uttarakhand Meteorological Center in Dehradun have predicted heavy rains in 2 districts of Kumaon division. These two districts are Pithoragarh and Bageshwar. In view of heavy rains, an orange alert has been issued in both these districts. The Meteorological Department estimates that there may be heavy to very heavy rains in some places in these two districts. Lightning will flash along with thunder. The Meteorological Department has asked the people of these districts to be careful and vigilant.
Yellow alert in the remaining districts
There is an orange alert of heavy rain in Pithoragarh and Bageshwar districts, so there will be rain in the remaining 11 districts as well. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for these districts. These districts include Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Tehri Garhwal, Dehradun, Pauri Garhwal, Almora, Champawat, Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar. The Meteorological Department has also predicted thunder and lightning in these districts. There will be intense spells of rain in these districts.
The Meteorological Department gave this warning
The Meteorological Department has said that people of all districts need to take special precautions during the rains. Especially people traveling should leave home only after getting information about the correct condition of the weather and routes. Instructions have been given not to go near rivers and drains. People living in low-lying areas have been alerted about waterlogging. It has been advised to avoid landslides in hilly areas.
