Will the Dhami government take action?
Let us tell you that the matter of construction of Kedarnath temple in Burari, Delhi had not cooled down that a similar case has come to light from Telangana as well. On July 18 itself, the Dhami cabinet had decided that the names of the four Dhams of Uttarakhand, Badrinath, Kedarnath, Yamunotri and Gangotri Dham will not be misused. To stop this, the Dhami government has decided to make a strict law.
CM Dhami had said in the cabinet meeting that if any person builds a temple or Dham with names similar to these famous and holy Dhams, then the Uttarakhand government will take strict legal action against him. The CM has directed the Religious Affairs Department to prepare a proposal soon and present it before the cabinet. Now it remains to be seen what action the Dhami government takes against the organizers of the Kedarnath temple to be built in Telangana.
There was anger in the saint community
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had attended the Bhoomi Pujan of the Kedarnath temple to be built in Burari, Delhi. Which created a lot of ruckus. Along with the opposition, the saint community also strongly opposed it. Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati had said that Kedarnath located in the central Himalayas is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. Any plan to reduce the existence and importance of Kedarnath Dham, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas, will not be allowed to succeed.
Shankaracharya had said that it is not right for CM Dhami and MLAs to be present in the Bhoomi Pujan program of the temple named Kedarnath Dham by a private trust. The government should consider it. A temple cannot be established anywhere in the name of Kedarnath Dham. If they want to establish a temple, then they can establish a temple by any other name. There is no objection to this. He has advised people not to do such an act while respecting public sentiments.
