One killed in airstrike near US embassy in Tel Aviv, Israel; drone penetrates Israeli army security

An explosion took place in Tel Aviv, Israel on Friday morning. One person died and at least 10 people were injured in it. The Israeli army has said that it was an air strike carried out by a drone. The Israeli army said that they are investigating the explosion. The Israeli Defense Forces have confirmed that it was a drone attack. The army has increased air patrols after the incident. It is not clear how this attack was carried out by dodging Israel’s tight air security. Israel’s emergency service has said that 10 people injured in the attack are being treated. After the attack, a 50-year-old man injured was declared dead in the hospital.

The Israeli army said that preliminary investigations have revealed that the air strike by drone has affected the city. The matter is being thoroughly investigated after the drone managed to enter Israeli airspace without sounding a siren. According to the Times of Israel report, this explosion took place dangerously close to the US Embassy. After the explosion, a state of chaos was seen on the streets. According to Israeli police, several officers, including bomb disposal experts, arrived at the scene and brought the situation under control.

The fight between Israel and Hamas continues
The explosion came just hours after the Israeli army confirmed that it had killed a senior commander of the Iran-backed Hezbollah militia in southern Lebanon. Three days ago, on Tuesday night, more than 60 Palestinians were killed in Israeli air strikes in southern and central Gaza.

The nine-month-long war between Israel and Hamas continues. Yemen’s Houthi rebels are openly supporting Hamas and they are constantly firing drones and missiles towards Israel. Till Friday, all such attacks have been foiled by Israeli forces. Israel has not attacked the Houthi rebels so far and is focusing its entire attention on the war in Gaza and the ongoing battle with Lebanon’s terrorist group Hezbollah.
