Considering the difficult geographical conditions of Uttarakhand, the state is going to get the gift of air ambulance after 15th August. After getting the facility of air ambulance, patients will be able to reach the hospitals immediately. Also, the government is going to provide ‘Dandi Kandi’ in those areas which are far from the roads. Under this, the person who will take the patients to the roads will be given an assistance amount of Rs 2000.

Health Minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that the rates of OPD slips have been reduced in other government hospitals except the government medical college. In government primary hospitals, the OPD charge will be Rs 10 instead of Rs 13, while in community hospitals, the OPD charge will be Rs 10 instead of Rs 15 per patient. Similarly, in sub-district hospital and district hospital, the rate of OPD slips ranging from Rs 28 to Rs 29 has been reduced to Rs 20. He said that now the charge for ambulance will be Rs 20 per kilometer instead of Rs 28.

Dhan Singh Rawat said that 500 doctors will soon be appointed in the government hospitals of the state, so that patients can get treatment quickly. At the same time, treatment will also be done by showing the OPD slip made in any government hospital in other government hospitals. He said that keeping in view the health facility of the public, a sub-district hospital will be built in Thalisain at a cost of 20 crores. Also, the RWD department has been instructed to prepare the DPR of the hospital soon.

The Health Minister said that on the occasion of Harela festival, one and a half lakh saplings will be planted in Pauri district. This program will run till August 15 in Khisu, Dhari Devi and Devprayag. Forest department officials have been instructed to complete the work under the action plan. He said that under Harela festival, in each school, primary class students will plant 5 trees, secondary class students will plant 10 and intermediate students will plant 20 saplings. Apart from this, the principals of the schools have been asked to plant 100 to 200 trees along the roadside within a radius of 10 kilometers.
