Uttarakhand: National games will also be organized in Tehri and Pithoragarh, know when the 38th National Games will be held
Uttarakhand Sports Minister Rekha Arya held a review meeting with departmental officials in the Assembly today. In which she took feedback from the officials regarding the 38th National Games to be held in the state. Meanwhile, the Sports Minister said that as per the instructions of the Chief Minister, National Games will also be organized in hill districts. Due to which boxing will be organized in Pithoragarh and water sports in Tehri Lake.
Special camp will be organized for players
Sports Minister Rekha Arya said that in view of the rains, it has been decided that instead of organizing state level games in the state, special camps will be organized for the players participating in the National Games, in which the players will be able to get the benefit of training from experienced trainers.
Apart from 34 disciplines, other disciplines will also be included in the National Games
Sports Minister Rekha Arya said that apart from 34 disciplines in the National Games, efforts are being made to test Karate, Yoga, Malkham and Speed Climbing as well as other local sports and include them in the National Games. Apart from this, on the question of when the National Games will be held, the Sports Minister said that the date of organizing the National Games will be announced after the formation of GTCC by the Indian Olympic Association.
