The ruling party and the opposition are seen making statements about Kedarnath. A round of statements has started on Kedarnath Bachao Yatra
After the interesting results in the by-elections of Uttarakhand, there is a stir in the political corridors. Actually, BJP MLA from Kedarnath Shailarani Rawat died on July 9, due to which a wave of mourning ran in the state. However, since then the issues related to Kedarnath have been in discussion. First the opposition raised questions about the Kedarnath Dham being built in Delhi and now the Congress state president is going to take out Kedarnath Bachao Yatra, due to which a round of statements has started.
Congress raising Kedarnath issue is politics
BKTC president Ajendra Ajay has hit back at the questions being raised continuously by the opposition and alleged that Congress needs some issue to do politics, that is why they are using Kedarnath. He said that by-elections are to be held in Kedarnath assembly, that is why the Congress party is doing these things with that agenda. He said that Kedarnath Dham Trust has made it clear in a press conference that now the name Kedarnath will not be used, despite that Congress wants to keep this issue alive so that the issue remains alive till the elections and politics continues.
Stopping the wrong is the job of the opposition – Mahara
After the allegations of the BKTC president, Congress state president Karan Mahara has reacted. He said that a person sees the other person as he is. Mahara said that we are not even talking about elections. The day the MLA of Kedarnath died, you took the stone from here and went away. On the day when the last rites of five martyred soldiers were being performed, the Chief Minister was laying the foundation stone in Delhi, he should answer this.
We are people of the opposition, we will try to stop anything that is wrong. He said that the yatra that we are going to do has nothing to do with the elections because Karan Mahara does not want to contest the election in Kedarnath. Karan Mahara is leading the yatra. However, after the yatra is over, I will also become the observer and will also hold a meeting because this is our job.
Former BKTC president also targeted
Former BKTC president Ganesh Godiyal has also retaliated to the allegations being made by the BJP. Ganesh Godiyal said sarcastically that if it is being said that the opposition is making Kedarnath an issue for the elections, then we can also say that on one hand the body of the Kedarnath MLA was not immersed in the five elements, on the other hand the Chief Minister was establishing Kedarnath Dham in Delhi, so was this also his attempt to win the election?
