Gangotri Highway made smooth for traffic

Let us tell you that due to heavy rains, incidents of landslides are continuously coming to the fore in the state. The highway was blocked due to heavy debris and huge boulders near Gangotri National Highway Bishanpur Sainj in Uttarkashi. On information, the BRO team reached the spot. After hours of hard work, the route has been opened for movement. At the same time, the blocked Badrinath Highway near Patalganga Tunnel in Chamoli has also been opened for traffic.

Meteorologists advised to be cautious

According to the forecast issued by the Director of Meteorological Department Vikram Singh, there is a possibility of heavy rain in some places in Champawat, Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar today. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert in view of the possible danger. While orange alert has been issued for heavy rains in some places in Pauri, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar and Almora. Apart from this, yellow alert has been issued for heavy rains in other districts of the state including the capital Dehradun.
