Uttarakhand: Heavy rains started in many areas of Kumaon, helpline number issued

A heavy rain alert has been issued for the next 24 to 48 hours in the state. A red alert for heavy rain has been issued for the Kumaon division. Heavy rain has started in many areas of Kumaon since Sunday morning. Due to which the administration is on alert. A helpline number has also been issued to help the people.
Heavy to very heavy rain alert today
According to the forecast issued by the Director of the Meteorological Department, Vikram Singh, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Champawat, Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar of Kumaon division today. A red alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department for these districts. While an orange alert has been issued for heavy rain in some places in Pauri, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar and Almora. Apart from this, a yellow alert has been issued for heavy rain in other districts of the state including Dehradun.
Heavy rain started in many areas of Kumaon
Rain has started in many areas of Kumaon since Sunday morning. Nainital, Champawat and Udham Singh Nagar have suffered the most damage due to the rain so far. In view of this, the Nainital district administration is alert. The district administration has formed a team with SDM and Tehsildar along with officials of all departments to be vigilant in Haldwani, Lalkuan, Mangar, Nainital, Kainchi Dham, Dhari and Kaladhungi areas.

Along with this, the District Magistrate has asked all the officials to keep their phones on 24 hours.
