BJP leader Vikas Ahir caught smuggling drugs in Gujarat, photos with big leaders go viral
Surat Police of Gujarat has arrested BJP leader Vikas Ahir and two others in a drug smuggling case. The accused used to sell MD drugs through his ice cream parlor. According to his profile on social media, Vikas Ahir has been the president of Hindu Yuva Vahini Gujarat state. Along with this, he is associated with BJP Yuva Morcha.
Surat Police Commissioner Anupam Singh Gehlot held a press conference and informed about the police action in the case of sale of MD drugs in the city. Gehlot said that earlier the consignment of drugs used to come to Surat from Mumbai, but after the strictness of the police, the people involved in this business have changed their modus operandi. Now they are selling drugs in Surat from Rajasthan. Police have arrested Chetan Sahu and Anish Khan along with Vikas Ahir.
According to the police, 354 grams of MD drugs have been found from them. Gehlot has said that investigation has revealed that the accused were doing MD drugs business under the guise of ice cream parlor. They also used to make deliveries by two wheeler. The property of the accused arrested under the NDPS Act is also being investigated. The property earned from illegal and black money will be sealed.
Congress and Aam Aadmi Party have attacked BJP on the issue. Congress leader Jignesh Mewani wrote in a social media post, ‘A BJP official was caught with MD drugs worth 50 lakhs in Surat. They are themselves reaping the benefits of crores by embroiling your children in Hindu-Muslim and drug consumption. Be careful and cautious of these Chintu.’
